Rick Watts

Rick's decades of business has provided him with a winning strategy for Fountain Hills. Simply put, fiscal responsibility is operating the town within the limits of its projected revenues.

“As a business executive with extensive experience developing organizations and teams, I will work to help Fountain Hills become a fiscally smart municipality that is prepared for the future. Our town faces critical realities on various fronts including obvious declining revenue streams, deteriorating infrastructure, rising public safety expenses, and inflationary pressure. I will recommend a proactive strategy that starts with separating needs from wants and address the needs first. Meanwhile, successful and meaningful discretionary spending—WANTS—should be based on input from residents which is a mandate for an easy process.  Please use this link to sign my petition.”    (AZ Election website for Nomination Petition Signatures)

Alex came to Arizona at age four and attended Chandler schools.  "After college I came back to the Valley to teach 7th and 8th grade civics and English. Later, I attended law school at the University of Pennsylvania......and was fortunate enough to spend the summer as a Reagan Fellow at the Goldwater Institute. The experience instilled in me the conservative values and reverence for our constitution that would inform my legal career."

"I opened the Kolodin Law Group in a windowless back office. I took the hardest cases, cases involving government misconduct that no other lawyer was crazy enough to touch. I fought against attempts to rig elections, I fought against sweetheart deals. Eventually, people caught on. The Kolodin Law Group today is a collection of the finest lawyers in the Valley who aren’t afraid of any case. I was able to realize the dream of having my name on the door because I live in a state that doesn’t strangle new businesses with excessive taxation and regulation."

Kolodin Represents District 3, and is on the House Judiciary Committee, Municipal Oversight and Elections (vice chair) and Natural Resources, Energy and Water.
